Welcome to my Blog! Grab a cup of coffee and join me for a while! There are few things I like better than a good cup of coffee shared with a good friend.
My best friend in the world is Jesus. Yep, it sounds corny, but it’s true. I am blessed with many meaningful friendships. Sometimes, though, I still feel alone. (Don’t we all, even in the midst of full lives?) But my constant friend is Jesus. I covet and protect my morning time with Him. When life is crazy busy and I push Him aside, I can tell. Knowing Christ and spending time with Him makes all the difference in my day.
My best friend on the planet is my hubby – Tim. We’ve been married for 25 years. (I can’t wait to say, I’ve been married longer than I was single! Still have a year or two to go on that one!) I used to think it wasn’t possible for my husband to really know me —inside and out. I mean–I’m a woman, he’s a man. Can he really “get me?” After all these years, though, he does. Sometimes I think he knows me better than I know myself. More than anyone, he exemplifies the love and forgiveness of Christ to me.
I have three c-r-a-z-y teenagers! They are a ton of fun and keep me busy. The other day I told one of them that each stage of parenting is wonder-filled and difficult. It often seems that I don’t quite “get it” when it comes to teenagers and all that goes with them. But they are good to clue me in. 😉
We have fun with SnapChat and those crazy lenses. Too often I elicit a groan when they see I saved a screenshot of whatever darling selfie they came up.
Hey … I’m a mom! It goes with the territory. I do promise them that I won’t share those on my social media channels. Those pics are for my own favorites folder. 😉 They are older teens, and it’s a joy to watch them doing “their thang” and becoming who God designed them to be.
Other than spending time with my family, my heart’s passion is teaching the Word of God to women. The relational and emotional needs of women are deep. God meets those needs amazingly! When you fall in love with Jesus and the Bible, you will experience the full, over-the-top abundant life He wants you to have. It’s not an easy life, but it is rich in meaning and fully satisfying.
“The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life,” (John 10:10, NLT).
“The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows),” (John 10:10, AMP).
Here you will see how God meets those needs in my life, and hopefully, how He can meet them in yours. When you leave, I pray your heart feels lighter; you feel hopeful about your day; and are encouraged to deepen your relationship with the Lord. Because of my own love for the Word of God, each blog post will be rich in Scripture.
“The [the law, statues, precepts, commands, fear, and ordinances of the Lord] are more precious than gold, than much pure gold; they are sweeter than honey, than honey from the comb,” Psalm 19:10 (NIV).
