What I Believe

I believe that the Bible is God’s message to us and every word is true.

All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work. (2 Timothy 3:16-17)

For prophecy never had its origin in the human will, but prophets, though human, spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit. (2 Peter 1:21)

I believe that God exists and that He is the one and only true God (Romans 1:20; Deuteronomy 4:39; John 17:3).

I believe that God is One, yet exists in the three persons of the Trinity (Deuteronomy 6:4).

The Father
He is the Creator and Sustainer of the Universe (Genesis 1:1; Psalm 24:1-2).

The Son
Jesus Christ is the perfect Son of God (John 3:16; 1 Peter 2:22).
Jesus is fully God and fully man at the same time (Matthew 1:23; John 1:14).

The Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit indwells every believer from the time of salvation (John 7:37-39; John 14:16).
We are to be “filled with” (or controlled by) the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 5:18).  This is evidenced by the fruit of the Spirit in our lives (Galatians 5:22-23).
The Holy Spirit illumines the truth of Scripture to our hearts (John 16:13).

I believe that man is sinful and that, without Christ, is separated from the God who loves him (Romans 3:10, 23; 6:23).

I believe that Salvation is by grace alone and through faith in Christ Jesus alone (John 14:6;  Ephesians 2:8-9).

This is the Gospel:  Jesus lived a sinless life and paid the sin-debt that God required by dying on the cross.  He was buried and rose to life again three days later (1 Corinthians 15:1-4).

I believe that Jesus is preparing our heavenly home where we will live with Him forever (John 14:2-3).

If you have never trusted Christ as your Savior from sin, I would love to introduce. You can meet Jesus, here.
