  1. Wonderful post! I am so grateful you shared the Ephesians 2:10. Such a good reminder that He had good things in mind for us to do when He was creating us. We’ve been in His plans for a long time & that is so amazing to think on & I probably will all day 🙂 Blessings!

  2. Serving others is such an important part of our call as a child of God. It is also one of the easiest to ignore as if we didn’t recognize or hear the cry of someone in need. Great reminder for us to do to step out and do something for others. Blessings!

  3. Amen, Dianne! I’m with Mary above: it’s so easy to ignore others’ needs and focus only on ourselves, but as you point out here, that is not what God is calling us to! These are great examples of ways to serve. Pinning and tweeting today, friend. 🙂

  4. I love this! We planted a new church about 6 months ago and one of the ‘good works’ projects that was on our hearts was to adopt the nearby elementary school. So we have been building relationships with the staff and students slowly and just loving and supporting them however we can. We haven’t had many hands-on volunteer opportunities yet, but felt led to ask them last week if there was any need that we could help with. They responded immediately, saying that they were low or out of playground balls for the kids. We were able to go out that day and buy some equipment and drop it off… not a huge deal to us – but it made a huge difference for the kids!

They will know we are Christians by our love… and Love DOES! Great post!

  5. I have a dear friend who just knows when I could use a break in the kitchen. It’s not when I am sick or have other major things going on, it’s the days that I just need that little something to help me out. It’s a gift. Thanks for reminding me of the importance of this. Enjoying your posts here in the 31 day series. Have a joyful day!

Thanks, Mary. I think it’s like many things … when we remember how people met *our* needs, we are more apt to recognize the needs of others. ((hugs))

There are so many ways to reach out to people in our world. Sometimes they are fairly obvious, other times, we need spirit eyes to see. Other times, (I) we need a little push. Thanks for the social media love, Betsy.
