  1. Dianne, I miss you linking up over at the Survivor Group on FB. I do enjoy watching your posts about your teens!!!

  2. Dianne Thornton says:

Awwwhh, thanks, Susan. For everything … a season! xoxo

  3. Hi there, Dianne. I can so relate to you, friend! My young man turns 20 in June. It will be the first time he has a birthday without us! And this summer he won’t come home, so he can stay in America and work. Learn responsibility. 🙂 My daughter graduates high school in May. I do enjoy this stage though, but yes, it is a slow letting go.

  4. Dianne, this is a powerful message! We are bought we a price,…we don’t own ourselves. We are meant to live with this understanding that we are Christ’s.
    And Psalm 16:5 AMEN!
He is our portion in the land of the living.
This is freeing knowing the Lord we care for us as His own because He is best at doing so.
    Many Blessing s to you…
I think this is the Best devotional I have read all week!

I’m blessed, Ifeoma! Thanks so much for your kind words. Oh, how our Lord is precious to us…as we are to Him!

  6. Dianne Thornton says:

I love walking this road with you, seeing your grown kids thrive in their worlds, seeing you let go gracefully. Love you, Betsy!

  7. Dianne, We are in the same season of life. I’m sending my two out the door and into the world as well. This was our first year of college for the oldest. It’s been full of many emotions. I found this post so comforting and helpful. Thank you for sharing. Yes, He is Mine and I am His! I’m jotting down the verses you shared today. Thank you!!!!

  8. It is definitely easy to claim that our stuff as “mine.” But you’re right; it all came from God and to him it all belongs! May I be conscious today of passing along the blessings that he has passed along to me.

  9. Yes, Jesus is mine… and you’re right, I am His! What an amazing, joy-filled fact! May Jesus bless your ministry and get this good news out to the many hurting souls that need it!

  10. Dianne Thornton says:

So glad this encouraged you, Leslie. It’s always nice to find others who are treading carefully as we launch our grown kids! Blessings on you this weekend!

  11. Dianne Thornton says:

Yes, Lisa … and our treasure is God … let’s share Him with others together, so they can have something that truly is theirs, too! Thanks for stopping by!

  12. Dianne Thornton says:

Ohhh, thanks, Wendy. Don’t you love that you have this treasured relationship as your very own!! Love you, my friend.

  13. That’s true. Nothing belongs to us forever. We have to learn to let go. What is always ours is our consciousness, which is part of the whole that is God.

  14. Dianne Thornton says:

Yes, Leo. When we know God and trust Him with our lives, He comes to dwell within us. The more we get to know Him, the more our thoughts become like His thoughts. Like the marriage relationship, our God is “ours forever.” Thanks for taking time to read and comment! Blessings on your day!
