  1. Great word, Dianne! This is how we want to live: faith-filled, focused and engaged, living expectantly! Thank you! Blessings to you!

  2. I love this, Dianne! I often find myself tempted to disengage when circumstances start to cause stress or pain in my life. Living with faith means we enter in, especially when it comes to the heartaches of others. I’m thankful for your words today!

Active faith. I never really thought of it that way but you really made it obvious how important that is. Thank you.

  4. This is a great post, Dianne! I definitely have times when I switch off and don’t engage fully because I’m scared of how things will turn out. It is so important that our faith is active and I love how you describe that here.

Thanks, Mari-Anna. I want to keep these thoughts before me! Blessings to you as well!

Oh, Stacey. I agree. How desperately we need to engage when others are hurting. Then we are the hands and feet of Christ. What a blessing!

  7. Dianne Thornton says:

Thank you, Debbie. God made it obvious to me. I’m sure He’ll continue to drill it into my head! Thanks for reading today.

Thanks, Lesley. Building and stretching those faith muscles is hard work! But work honored by our great God.

  9. I read almost all of your posts… BUT THIS! It’s so rich and good. Deep truths here as technology provides us an easy, available, and socially acceptable ‘check out’.

Thanks for the reminder to actively engage… even with our prayers. I can easily go that when praying for others… it’s when praying for myself that I wrestle with the full aniticipation.

Thanks, Tammy. I find myself in situations similar to yours. When I’m praying for others, I feel I’m more “all in” … but for myself, that’ when I leave the out. Good distinction!

  11. I love your phrase of “active faith.” “God calls us to live with active faith, to pray believing.” I want to stay engaged in the game too. Thanks for this encouragement, Dianne!

  12. I loved your examples of ‘active faith’! How many times have I closed my eyes…I have missed so much – so many blessings! Thanks for sharing on Grace and Truth. I’m sharing on social media.
