On Vacay for a Bit

I am on vacation with my husband this week while my kids are on a service project with their youth group.

We love lighthouses. This is the Half Moon Reef Lighthouse. Originally located in Matagorda Bay at the southern tip of Half Moon Reef, it was in service from 1858-1943.

Lighthouses remind me of what Jesus said in John 8:12, “I am the light of the world. If you follow me, you won’t have to walk in darkness, because you will have the light that leads to life.”
