‘We fell we are old enough, smart enough… To do it on our own’… Isn’t it beautiful how God’s plan is for us to never be successfully self sufficient? I need to remember this while teaching my children. Yes, I want you to be capable to do things without assistance, but at the same time acknowledge your need for wisdom from others as well as relying on God to be their source… Not themselves.

I like your turn of phrase … “never be successfully self sufficient” … Blessings to you today!

  3. You speak truth when you write that we plan and try to carry out the plan on our own. I cannot even tell you how many times I have done that and it didn’t work out so well. God is the Master Planner and deferring to Him will lead us on the right path every time. Thank you for these words today!

  5. James 1 is one of my favorite chapters in the Bible! I’m so glad he offers us wisdom, because the older I get the more I realize I don’t have much!
