  1. :). I’ve never thought of praise as a sacrifice to the Lord before! I’ve often wondered what I can give God–what gift do I have? There’s the answer–praise! (dirty dishes in the sink make me a little vexed, too 😉 ).

It is a little different thought. There are days in church that I just don’t *feel* like worshiping. I’d rather just sit. Then I remember this verse … I do have to change my mindset … but I don’t have to be all “feely” to praise the Lord.

  3. I am loving this series so far – I can SO relate! What a great reminder for me to use these moments when I want to grumble as an opportunity to worship. Thank you!

  4. I might possibly be a little bit good at grumbling. I’m a worrier at heart and the process of learning to praise Him in the storm and in the dirty dishes and a work in progress for me! Thanks for the reminders!

  5. Yikes! What if I WANT to still grumble over the never ending dishes… Such a beautiful reminder to look beyond this moment just like Jesus did as He faced the cross. Thank you for sharing truth.

    Thanks for following along, Melissa!

  9. What a beautiful example of showing your daughters grace. It is so easy to grumble but better to give grace.

Wouldn’t it be great if we could turn this into a habit? I’m so hoping God will do that–that I’ll cooperate with Him. After all, if we did that–we’d sure feel a lot better ourselves!

  11. By the end of this 31 day challenge, you are going to be the most joyful of us all!!!

  12. I love the end of this! I’m guilty of ….. well, we don’t have to talk about that 😉 … but finding that there are legitimate reasons for the things that irritate me always helps me out of a grumbling mood.

  13. So much grumbling going on around lately. Too many problems. But then again, we’re still blessed and I think looking at and receiving grace is the best counterpart indeed.

    Have a grumble-free weekend! 🙂

I get that Sarah. I’d love to write about all of the little things … but then, that defeats the purpose! Thanks for reading and commenting!

  15. Dianne Thornton says:

Thanks, Lux! Praying your weekend is grumble-free as well!

“Grumbling reveals an unsatisfied heart”. I find myself grumbling a lot, and I needed this reminder to praise instead of complain!

Thanks for reading, Cherie! Have a blessed Sunday!!
