WITHOUT God There is Nothing!
He made it all! Everything you see. The sun and the sky. The moon and the stars. Mountains and seas. Animals of all kinds–even ones we’ve yet to discover!
Without God, there is nothing!
Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. (John 1:3 NIV)
Everything came into existence through him. Not one thing that exists was made without him. (John 1:3 GW)
I love nature. All of it. I think that’s the reason I like camping so much. (I will clarify, however. I like to camp in the cold–not the heat!) I love sitting by a fire at dusk, peering into the woods while fireflies dance in the darkness. I love hearing the sounds of crickets outside the tent and a train echoing through the cold, night air.
I love the mountains! Climbing over rocky crags; watching water thunder into a pool from 200 feet above; cautiously watching a bear prowling through a meadow.
I love the sea! The feel of sand between my toes, the current tugging me along. The search for shells and glass. The sound of the surf as it moves to the shore. Gulls and pelicans flying just above the water’s surface as they search for their next meal.
Our family enjoys watching The Discovery Channel. So many delightful creatures! The mating dance of the Birds of Paradise. The ancient tortoises on Galapagos Island. Strange new sea creatures discovered in the ocean depths.
Just tonight I was watching my girls’ marching rehearsal, and on their water break, one of them called to me to look at the moon. It was a beautiful, harvest moon. Huge as it lifted above the stadium.
Every time I see these things, I stand in awe of our Creator. From the most complex organisms, to the most simple, God is the Master Designer of it all. Every bit of it points to Him!
What can be known about God is clear to them because he has made it clear to them. From the creation of the world, God’s invisible qualities, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly observed in what he made. As a result, people have no excuse.” (Romans 1:19-20 GW)
The heavens proclaim the glory of God. The skies display his craftsmanship. Day after day they continue to speak; night after night they make him known. (Psalm 19:1-2)
It’s not just these elements of creation, but how they hold together! What keeps the sea from crossing its boundary? What keeps the sun at the just right distance from the earth so that it sustains and maintains life? How do the stars and the universe move together in perfect synchronization? These are some of the questions God posed to Job.
This is kind of Part II to my previous post, They Speak WITHOUT Saying A Word. The point here is that without God, our world would not exist. God created everything. He created Life. His existence is evidenced through His creation.
From the creation of the world, God’s invisible qualities, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly observed in what he made. (Romans 1:20)

Ah yes… I love this! While I am not a camper (I like less bugs, and an actual bed) – I do love being outdoors and drinking in all of creation! Great post!
We love camping and anything having to do with nature. This morning’s amazing sunrise was a love song painted in the sky by my Creator God.
He holds everything together. We enjoy the outdoors as well and we raised the kids camping in an 18 ft tipi, same one hubs & I got married in. O law – you should see those pics!!! Our anniversary is coming up on 11/11, I’ll share some pictures.
Camping is one of things that “grew on me.” I grew up camping. When my husband wanted to start doing this with our kids, I threw a bit of a fit. But my mom reminded me that camping is “good for kids. It teaches them that life isn’t always comfy.” And so I adjusted and have found my own enjoyment. 🙂 Thanks for coming by, Karrilee!
Wish I could have seen it with you, Anita!
I’m not much of a camper, but seeing beauty in God’s creation inspires me to awe and worship of Him. I don’t see how people can miss seeing His hand in it.
“Without God, there is nothing.” — Amen.
It’s everywhere, Barbara, isn’t it! Even walking down the street, we see God’s creation. Thanks for coming by! ((hugs))
Thanks for coming to my blog, Romi. Have a blessed day!
oooooh, Susan! I wanna see those pictures!!
